Overview

This research aims to explore the knowledge, attitudes and practices of bowel cancer prevention and early detection in the community. Participation in this research completely voluntary.

What is the purpose of this study?

Before you decide whether or not you wish to participate in this study, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve.

Researchers at Metro South Health and Hospital Service are working to increase participation in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP).  We are consulting with community because we would like to find out about your knowledge, attitudes and practices on bowel cancer prevention and early detection.

Your participation will involve completing a 10 minute online survey.

Why your views matter

This  project will greatly help us to gain a comprehensive understanding of the needs of the local community in preventing bowel cancer.

The study is being conducted by Nicole Marinucci from Queensland Health.
