The Redland Hospital Foodservice & Allied Health Committee invites members of the community to register their interest in joining their committee as a Consumer Representative.
The role of the Committee is to provide a multidisciplinary forum to support and facilitate a safe and nutritious food supply within Redland and Wynnum Hospitals and Redland Residential Care.
PRIORITIES FOR THE COMMITTEE
To review and implement relevant policies, procedures and work instructions that affect work practices, including new state-wide initiatives and reforms.
To ensure an integrated approach is taken to discuss and resolve emerging local issues that may impact on the quality and service delivery of food to patients/residents/clients of Metro South Health’s Redland and Wynnum site facilities.
To conduct regular menu reviews and manage emerging menu issues in a timely manner.
To actively identify, develop and implement quality activities including monitoring and evaluating outcomes from these activities.
To provide input into dietetic student’s Food Service Management project topics.
EXPECTATIONS OF CONSUMER REPRESENTATIVE
Participate and provide advice from a consumer perspective in relation to hospital foodservices, including menus and service delivery.
Be able to attend monthly face-to-face meetings at Redland Hospital.
Be prepared to read and review documents in preparation for meetings and comment via email on documents between meetings.
