Overview

The Redland Hospital Foodservice & Allied Health Committee invites members of the community to register their interest in joining their committee as a Consumer Representative.
 
The role of the Committee is to provide a multidisciplinary forum to support and facilitate a safe and nutritious food supply within Redland and Wynnum Hospitals and Redland Residential Care.

PRIORITIES FOR THE COMMITTEE
  • To review and implement relevant policies, procedures and work instructions that affect work practices, including new state-wide initiatives and reforms.
  • To ensure an integrated approach is taken to discuss and resolve emerging local issues that may impact on the quality and service delivery of food to patients/residents/clients of Metro South Health’s Redland and Wynnum site facilities.
  • To conduct regular menu reviews and manage emerging menu issues in a timely manner.
  • To actively identify, develop and implement quality activities including monitoring and evaluating outcomes from these activities.
  • To provide input into dietetic student’s Food Service Management project topics.
EXPECTATIONS OF CONSUMER REPRESENTATIVE
  • Participate and provide advice from a consumer perspective in relation to hospital foodservices, including menus and service delivery.
  • Be able to attend monthly face-to-face meetings at Redland Hospital.
  • Be prepared to read and review documents in preparation for meetings and comment via email on documents between meetings.
