Closed 30 Sep 2018

Opened 6 Sep 2018

Overview

Metro South Health is now consulting on the development of the next Metro South Disability Plan 2019-2021. This consultation includes five short questions and will take up to 10 minutes.

Research shows that people with disability:

  • experience higher rates of avoidable death and illness
  • are frequent users of hospital and primary health care services
  • have high rates of undiagnosed and inadequately treated conditions
  • experience barriers to employment

People with disability are all different and have diverse needs. As you complete these questions, you may want to consider people with different types of disability:

  • intellectual or cognitive
  • physical (mobility impairment or uses a wheelchair)
  • sensory (people who are Deaf or blind)
  • psychosocial (ongoing mental health issues)
  • neurological (MS, stroke, or severe epilepsy)
  • disability which affects communication

Your responses will inform our next Disability Plan to improve health outcomes for people with a disability and to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace.

We appreciate your feedback.
