Overview

With support from the Clinical Excellence Division the ‘Care at the end of life’ SEED Funding Program – coordinated by the Speech Pathology Department at Logan Hospital has initiated a project to determine current practices and areas for improvement with regards to supporting patients to eat and drink for quality of life in the palliative care setting and when complex dysphagia (swallow impairment) decisions are required.

The project team is hoping to find out more information current speech pathology practices in palliative care and how training and resources could be improved for this area.
